The first days in the beautiful city of Madison

       

První dny v Madisonu byly ze začátku značně hektické, měla jsem asi začít psát dřív, protože už si přesně nevzpomínám na sled událostí v přesném pořadí a něco jsem možná už i zapoměla...

Po tom co jsem dorazila do našeho nového domova v Madisonu, jsem zjistila, že v pokoji je jenom postel (ale velká posel), šatník a jedna komoda... Jinak nic, takže program na 27.8. byl víc než jasný, mega nákup v Target. 5 hodin sme strávili na nákupech a musím říct, že jsem nikdy nebyla z nakupování tak vyčerpaná...

                                  

Cesta autobusem domů byla celkem náročná, jelikož sme sebou každý táhli 3 mega tašky plné věcí do pokojů a jídla, ale zvládli sme to.

                       

V nasledujícíh dnech byla Student Orientation, kde jsem se potkala ještě s dalšíma kluka z ČVUT, spousta jídla... Asi sme se pak šli podívat trochu po měste a na Memorial Union terrace, kde trávíme většinu slunnných dní (ale už ne s Čechama).

       

                                 

                                 

Z dalších dní už mám jen takovou mlhu, takže už si přesně nevzpomínám kde a jak jsem se setkala se svým nynějším International Bike Gangem... Jedno je ale 100%, sme všichni krásní a stylový :D 

Pro vysvětlení proč zrovna Bike Gang:

- Madison je placka

- každý tu jezdí na kole a jsou tu všude cesty pro kola

- hromadná doprava tu sice je, ale ne uplně tak funkční jako v Evropě

- VŠICHNI MÁME SUPER COOL KOLA Z WALMART! (Walmart deal za 90$)

        

       

Teď už si všichni jezdíme na kolech jako páni a máme se dobře, můj bike gang je převážně z Evropy (Rakousko, Německo, Švédsko, Argentina).

       

       

Vzpomínám si, že v jednom z těch prvních dní sme byli i na naší první Americké House párty, a to bylo přensně jako ve filmu :D Mega dům, spousty lidí, hrozně moc odporného piva a šílené horko (a tak jsou tady vlastně všechny takové house párty, kromě těch v Daddy's palace, ale o tom až později).

Toto je jen takové stručné shrnutí prvních dní v Madisonu, před začátkem školy, protože to až potom přišla ta "studená" sprcha :D

Ale před ní to ještě vypadalo s naší retardací docela slušně, teď už sme na tom hůř... (viz. UO- kam chodíme hlavně kvůli hudbě :D)

Let's get to some English:

As far as I can remember, the first days in Madison were a little bit hectic for me, I should have started writing earlier because now, I can't really remember how things exactly happened and I have probably forgoten some stuff by now.

After our arrival to my new home, I found out, that my room is nothing but a bed (huge bed), closet and a chair :D which meant the schedule of activities for 27.7. was more than obvious... Giant shopping in Target for everything I needed! After 5 hours spent running around Target, I found everything I needed. I must admit, I have never been so exhausted by shopping in my life like this time in Target...

The  trip home wasn't that easy either, each of us with 3 super giant bags loaded with essentials for our rooms and food... But we made it!

In the next days we went to the Student Orientation, where I finally met the other Cyech guys from CTU, and where we had tons of FREE food :D Afterwards we probably wondered around Madison and went to Memorial Union Terrace, where we spend most of the sunny days here (though not with the Czech guys anymore).

The next few days are a little bit blurry for me now, so I can't exactly recall where and when I met my current International Bike Gang... Even though I can't remember, there is something for sure, we're all beautiful and stylish :D 

And now why are we a BIKE GANG?

- Madison is completely flat

- everyone here rides a bike and bike lanes are everywhere

- even though there is public transportation here, it's not as developed as in Europe

-  WE ALL HAVE SUPER COOL BIKES FROM WALMART!!! (deal for 90$)

Now we all ride our bikes like a boss (just to explain where my bike gang comes from... it's Germany, Austria, Sweden and Argentina)

I can remember that in one of those first days here, we all went to an American House party and that was exactly like in the movies! Huge house, crowded with people, gallons of nasty watery beer and heat everywhere... (that's how most of the house parties here are, except those in Daddy's place... but abou D's Palace later)

Brief summary of my first days in Madison before school started is over... After this came the "cold" shower called school :D

I guess we were all a litlle bit retarded even before, but it's getting worse (ex. UO pictures- where we actually go only because of the music)...
